• Swarnab Banerjee

    Principal Engineer, Power Systems

    Swarnab has extensive experience in electrical power delivery and power conversion equipment design and development for utilities, defense, railroad, and industrial applications. He has designed equipment and systems that include solid-state transformers, solid-state fault current limiters, alternative energy/micro-grids, legacy circuit breakers-switchgears-power transformers, protection and controls, and industrial drives. Swarnab currently leads the Company’s power electronics design and development. Swarnab received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

  • Lauri E. Beckwith

    HR/Office Administrator

    Lauri joined BWP as the 1st hire bringing with her a variety of skills that lent well to creating a home/office for this growing group of talented engineers. She has over 12 years of Human Resource, Office Management and general Bookkeeping experience. Lauri received her B.A. in Education/Human Services from the University of Massachusetts as well as an A.S. in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts Bay College.

  • Dave Duford

    Engineering Specialist, Generator Stator Manufacturing

    Dave has 17 years of product development and engineering experience. Dave has previously led engineering and technology development groups to support unique, automated, high-volume manufacturing processes. Dave currently supports the printed circuit board design, component sourcing, and quality assurance processes. Dave received his B.S. in Technology Education from Montana State University.

  • Marc Eichinger

    Principal Engineer, Mechanical Turbine Generator Integration

    Marc has more than nine years’ experience in design, project and applications engineering within the wind turbine and aerospace industries, including Lead Mechanical Engineer for a top-tier global wind turbine manufacturer.  He has been involved with the product development of mechanical components from conception through design and into production.  Marc leads the Company’s design and analysis for the structural components of BWP’s generator and the mechanical integration into the turbine.  Marc received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

  • Stephane Eisen

    Principal Engineer, Turbine Systems Engineering

    Stephane has more than ten years’ experience in wind turbine systems engineering, drive-train system modeling, and advanced technology development in the wind industry. Prior to joining BWP, Stephane was responsible for technical follow-up and root cause analysis related to gearboxes, bearings and turbine hydraulics, as well as wind turbine supplier evaluations and quality acceptance inspections for a major European utility with one of the largest offshore wind portfolios. Stephane leads the Company’s generator system engineering efforts with a focus on the design, analysis, and quality assurance of BWP’s proprietary printed circuit board stator. Stephane received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado and a M.Sc, Mechanical Engineering at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet.

  • David Goranson

    Information Technology Manager

    David has worked in the IT field for 13-years, with broad experience ranging from WAN infrastructure building, Linux and open source enterprise solutions, to conventional Microsoft server-side products. At BWP, David manages a reliable and flexible IT system that enables our growing team to maximize efficiency and productivity regardless of geographic location. In addition to his broad IT expertise, David holds a B.S. in Accounting.

  • Jason Lawrence

    Engineering Technician

    Jason has over 20 years of experience with aeronautical and electromechanical applications in operations, test, and performance optimization through defense and civil roles.  He entered the wind industry as a turbine generator technician. Jason currently supports BWP’s test program with responsibility for ensuring quality execution of external contracts.  Jason received a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering with a minor in math from the United States Air Force Academy.

  • Max Myers

    Electrical Design/Power Engineer

    Max specializes in the control of electronic drives and electrical machines.  He is responsible for power converter simulation and embedded software design.  Max received a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah.

  • Francisco Oyague

    Principal Engineer, Mechanical Design and Analysis

    Cisco has five years of experience on dynamic system design and analysis in the wind industry. Cisco’s experience includes serving as the lead analyst for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Gearbox Reliability Collaborative, as well as development and validation of wind energy models. Cisco has led the mechanical design of BWP’s full-scale generator test stand, linear and nonlinear progressive structural analysis, as well as design and analysis for all bolted connections in the full-scale generator system. Cisco received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Denver and a Masters in Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures from Stuttgart Universität.

  • Kirk Pierce

    Principal Engineer, Turbine Loads and Controls

    Kirk has over 18 years’ experience in wind turbine research, development and testing.  Research areas include control systems for load reduction, improved power performance and advancement of simulation design tools.  Kirk has authored or co-authored more than 40 publications related to wind turbine system optimization. Kirk has been awarded more than 17 patents where he was named the sole or co-inventor. Kirk leads the Company’s load simulation and control system development. Kirk received a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.

  • Cameron P. Reagor

    Senior Scientist, System Dynamics

    Cameron has more than a decade of experience in advanced analysis and design in complex dynamic systems in areas that range from the automotive industry to heavy industrial machinery. Cameron operated his own consulting business for several years. He has directed independent government-backed research in nanomaterials, developed noise prediction software, designed major vibro-mechanical systems, and lead architectural acoustic designs. Cameron leads the Company’s computational analysis for the design and optimization of BWP’s generator and the prediction and verification of the dynamic performance of BWP's generator systems. Cameron received a B.S. In Mechanical Engineering from the Montana State University and a Ph.D. in Acoustics from the Pennsylvania State University.

  • Peter Smith

    Product Manager

    Peter has five years of experience with electric machine design and product development with a focus on permanent magnet machines and the associated power conversion equipment. Peter has responsibility for marketing, competitive intelligence, cost of energy modeling, and translating market requirements into product specifications. Peter received his B.S. in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Technological Entrepreneurship from the Lally School of Management and Technology at RPI.

  • Brian Sullivan, P.E.

    Principal Engineer, Electromagnetics

    Brian has over eight years of analytical engineering experience in control systems, testing and manufacturing, including four years of automotive stability control development as a lead engineer with a leading US automobile manufacturer and consultant to another major European automaker. Brian currently leads electromagnetic system analysis, permanent magnet design and sourcing, as well as system-level generator testing and validation. Brian received his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

  • Lincoln Jore

    Engineering Specialist, Power System Integration

    Lincoln has nine years of experience in engineering and design for electric machines and low voltage control electronics. As a co-inventor of the BWP air core technology, Lincoln also has extensive experience testing and validating permanent magnet machine performance and the associated performance of the power conversion equipment. Lincoln currently supports the power system design and integration efforts for the full-scale generator test system. Prior to his breakthrough invention and subsequent work as an entrepreneur and power systems engineer, Lincoln attended the University of Montana.

  • Jim Jore

    Principal Engineer, Generator Application Engineering and Intellectual Property

    Jim has 19 years’ of experience in intellectual property strategy, management. Jim also has more than ten years’ experience developing advanced design tools for the optimization of air core, permanent magnet machines. Jim currently leads the intellectual property development and supports the electromagnetic system optimization efforts. Jim received his B.A. in Biology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana.

  • Mike Kvam

    Principal Engineer, Generator Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering

    Mike has more than 20 years’ experience with engineering advanced technologies for aerospace, commercial and industrial applications. Mike currently leads the design and engineering for the advanced assembly equipment and processes for the full-scale generator test system. Mike received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University.

  • Dave Samsel

    Machinist and Engineering Specialist, Manufacturing

    Dave has more than 22 years’ experience with precision engineering, manufacturing and machining.  Throughout his career Dave has developed manufacturing and assembly process that incorporate an extremely high level of technology and automation. Dave currently leads the manufacturing and machining processes for the full-scale generator test system. Prior to his work as a machinist and engineer, Dave attended Montana Tech in Missoula, Montana.
