Chip Corboy

Director of Finance and Administration

Chip is a finance and accounting professional who has been working with early stage companies in Colorado for nearly 18 years.  Chip joined Boulder Wind Power from ION Engineering, an early stage, clean energy company developing an innovative carbon capture technology, where he was a founder and CFO until February 2011.  At ION, Chip helped establish the Company’s operations, develop the Company’s business model and secure a $3 million grant from the Department of Energy.

Chip began his career in public accounting, working in the Denver and Boulder offices of Arthur Andersen and later KPMG, where he was a partner in the audit practice from 2004 through 2009.  Throughout his career, Chip has worked with high-growth, technology-based businesses in Colorado.  At KPMG, Chip helped lead the firm’s Boulder office practice, where he concentrated on venture capital and other private equity firms and their portfolio companies.  Chip is a graduate of the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business in Boulder.  He is also a member of the board of directors for Foothills United Way, and a former member of the advisory board to the Leeds School.
