About the Job
Boulder Wind Power is currently seeking a highly experienced individual to lead the development, technical knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes related to our unique PCB stator. We are looking for a candidate with who has previously developed innovative PCB manufacturing process solutions to solve unique challenges. In addition, detailed knowledge and experience with PCB materials is critical.
Successful candidates must be ‘hands-on’ and be willing to work in an interactive, fast-paced technical environment. The individual will be expected to adapt quickly to the challenges of clean-sheet engineering, and work closely with the entire technical organization in a collaborative manner on cross-functional tasks.
Responsibilities
Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develop and articulate the manufacturing process requirements unique to BWP's PCB stator design
· Identify and develop next generation PCB manufacturing process technology
· Lead discussions with PCB suppliers regarding manufacturing process requirements and supplier qualification
· Develop PCB manufacturing process cost models
· Maintain knowledge of current and future PCB manufacturing capabilities
· Participate in design process including:
o meeting new product introduction process deliverables
o design reviews
o optimization of cost / performance of components and subsystems
o identifying technical risks
o developing risk mitigation strategies and plans
Qualifications
Our business is technical, complex, and high risk. We want someone who thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment and who has demonstrated successful track record with innovative technology development.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and attributes:
· A minimum of 15 years’ experience in establishing and maintaining a printed circuit board assembly process with six sigma quality methods
· Experience with large format, high layer count PCB design and manufacturing
· Experience with heavy copper PCB design and manufacturing
· Experience with PCB failure analysis, root cause analysis, and FMEA techniques
